Meaning:
Excerpt from Wikipedia: "Hagiography is the study of saints. A hagiography refers literally to writings on the subject of such holy persons, and specifically the biographies of ecclesiastical and secular leaders."
By using this word, Kunzru shows just how iconified Arjun has become to the 'geek' population (I use the word geek lightly). The thing is that in real life, people actually would look at what he's done as innovation and not as a criminal act.
